| Tokuden's ' HYBRID ROLL© ' contains
jacket chambers which are partially filled with a thermal medium
in a vacuum. The jacket chambers ability to maintain a uniform surface
temperature [± 1°C ], assists in reducing the fluid flow
rate compared with conventional rolls. It combines energy efficiency
and precision
like never before. In addition, the reduction of the fluid flow rate
drastically reduces equipment and energy costs.' Hybrid Rolls© '
can be used for both heating and cooling applications as well as
in explosion proof environments. |
 |
 |
The temperature accuracy on the surface
of the roll is maintained by the jacket chambers. Any fluctuation
of the temperature accuracy, due to increases or decreases in the
fluid flow rate, is minimal and the temperature accuracy is maintained
continuously.
|
 |
To obtain a temperature
accuracy of ± 1°C in conventional spiral or drilled
rolls, a fluid flow rate of approximately 150 /min.
per 1m² of roll surface area is required. The ' HYBRID ROLL© '
can obtain the same temperature accuracy using a significantly
less flow rate due to the performance of the jacket chambers. Furthermore,
this accuracy can be maintained with lower flow rates. |
